Hercules PPG

Olympic PPG announces the introduction of our new powered paraglider the Hercules. The frame and cage are made from heavy gauge aluminum that can withstand hard landings. The frame is capable of mounting any engine currently being used.

This is the frame without the four-part cage attached. When the cage is removed, the frame and motor will stand alone. Heavy gauge aluminum is used for the frame. The copper color of the frame is due to the camera flash.

Seat

This is the frame with the two lower pieces of the cage attached.

The frame with the four-part cage and the high j-bars attached. The cage is attached with Velcro which makes take down and set up very fast. Set up at the field should be about 5 to 7 minutes. The 10-liter fuel tank offers extended flying time.

We offer engines from Compact Radial Engine in the 100cc and 313cc size. The MZ100 will handle pilots up to 190 lbs. The MZ 34 (313cc and 27 hp) will take care of heavy pilots and those who like a lot of power.

Aircraft style buckles are used instead of the usual paraglider type. This allows for very fast exit in the unlikely event of a fire or water landing. No need to manipulate two buttons at once to unhook-just pull the release and it's done. Hookup is fast and very positive. Steel self-locking carabineers with a rating of 25kn are standard. A safety strap backup from the carabineer to the harness is an added safety feature. Fuel Tank

Switch A secondary shut-off switch is attached to the lower right side of the frame. In case the throttle mounted kill switch should fail, this is a back-up shut down. In the off position, it prevents accidental startup on the ground while doing maintenance. Heavy gauge skid protectors prevent damage to the frame while performing engine run up on concrete or pavement

Why use a fixed high J-bar frame? We are the only company producing this kind of paramotor, which is very popular for competition in Asia. The advantages of the fixed high-bar frame are ease of launch, no riser twist, and stability in flight. There are no bars to fit between when hooking in, so there is no limit to pilot size. I've flown a lot of motors, and I still find weight shift to be elusive. If you really want weight shift, you should look into free-flight paragliding, because with motors it doesn't work too well. If a motor will weight shift, it is usually very difficult to forward launch.

Cost is the last but not the least important of the features. The Olympic Hercules can be yours for only $4495 for the MZ100 engine and
$4995 for the MZ34 (313cc) engine; plus shipping.

Note About Kit
Building a Hercules, or any PPG, from a kit requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to adapt and improvise components to fit and work together. No special tools are required to assemble a Hercules Kit because it is a simple project. The fuel tank is not drilled for fuel lines or fittings, but it’s a basic project. A base kit with G6 engine is less than $3000
